The Monthly Rack | November

This months rack was full of sweaters and scarves! Sweater weather season is the best time of the year. In November and December, I tend to wear sweaters and cardigans daily. Some of my favourites are shown in the pictures below. In the winter I tend to gravitate towards grey and black clothing in general so, a lot of the sweaters I wear are darker. Since I wear darker outfits, it gives me the opportunity to wear white, cream and beige scarves. It can lighten up the outfit so it doesn't look too heavy.

Let me know where you get your favourite sweaters from in the comments below!

Outfit | Cozy Cardigans

Happy Black Friday Canada! Today I wanted to share a fantastic Black Friday Sale! Two of my favourite Canadian stores, Garage and Dynamite (I feature at least one item from either store in all of my fashion posts) are offering Black Friday and Cyber Monday Deals.

Dynamite Black Friday - 30% off - Valid until 11/27 at 10 am EST

And of course they are both offering free shipping on orders over $25

This outfit is a perfect fall look featuring trendy ankle booties and a long cardigan. Unfortunately in Canada now it's getting cold and a winter jacket is must over any outfit. So, let's just say I was freezing taking these blog photos!

White Tank - TOPSHOP
Black Boots - Vince Camuto
Blue Necklace - Forever 21

Let me know where you buy your favourite cardigans in the comments below!

Workout Motivation

With fall in full swing, it’s a great time to take advantage of the change in seasons before the holiday rush and start to focus on leading a healthier lifestyle.

Top fitness essentials:
A cute workout outfit, properly fitting sports bra, a comfortable pair of running shoes, a stylish gym bag and a cute water bottle to stay hydrated.

Motivation tips:
First, buy some cute workout gear to get in the mood to workout. Next, set an upbeat playlist of your favourite songs. Then, set some goals you want to achieve. Last, make a schedule so you can try yo stick with it week after week to reach your goals.

Favourite workout outfit:
My favourite workout outfits always consist of black leggings and a colourful sports bra or top. I'm not brave enough to wear colourful, bold and bright bottoms but, I like to have fun with tops. The fun outfit can really motivate you to workout because nothing is more comfortable than athletic wear.
Favourite ways to workout:
I have four ways that I workout and they're workouts that are actually fun (at least to me) and enjoyable to do. The first one is dancing. I've been dancing since I was three years old and growing up dancing as always been my cardio. Second, is ballet barre fitness. There are a ton of new fitness studios openings up that focus specifically on the barre method but, this is something that I have been doing since I was little through dance classes. The third way and most easy way to workout is walking. You can walk on a treadmill or just walk around somewhere instead of driving. Last, yoga is another great way to workout. It focuses on stretching your body which is great to do after one of the other three workouts I've just mentioned.

More inspiration:

Another great way to find workout inspiration and actual workout routines to follow is Pinterest! Adore Me has a fantastic board called, Motivate Me and I have one called, Workouts to Try!

Travel Bucket List

I have experienced wanderlust from a young age, constantly daydreaming about all the places I would get to travel to when I got older. In the summer I started my travelling adventures and plan to continue them this summer.

I have always wanted to visit every province in Canada (I'm not sure about the territories). I've lived in Ontario my whole life so that one is automatically off the list. And last summer I went to PEI and drove through and stayed in Quebec and New Brunswick. As of now, I have 4/10 provinces checked off my list. I plan to explore the western provinces next summer. I will most likely document my trip in travel diaries like I did this summer.

Canada
Ottawa
Montreal
Quebec City Travel Diary
Prince Edward Island Travel Diary
New Brunswick Travel Diary
Newfoundland
Nova Scotia
Manitoba
Saskatchewan
Alberta
British Columbia

Europe is also a big part of my list and where I want to go. I basically want to travel the entire continent, more specifically 22 countries. I plan on going to Europe for about four months after I graduate university.

Europe
Ireland
Scotland
England
Iceland
The Netherlands
Denmark
Norway
Sweden
Finland
Belgium
France
Monaco
Cannes
Spain
Portugal
Poland
Germany
Austria
Hungary
Switzerland
Croatia
Italy
Greece

America also has cities I want to explore. I still haven't been to New York City, but I will be soon. Basically, I want to see the west coast and see some of the north-eastern states, the rest of the country doesn't intrigue me at all.

San Francisco, CA
Los Angles, CA

Ms. Dress Up Zipper Pull | The Stress of Getting Dressed is Over

Have you ever struggled to get ready for an event because you couldn't get your dress to zip up or had to go find someone to help you zip it up? Well, Ms. Dress Up has created a solution to solve all of your getting ready problems!

Ms. Dress Up offers an innovative fashion solution for women; a one of a kind zipper pull. Founder, Natalie Catania was struggling to get her dress zipped up one day and pondered why getting dressed ultimately depended on someone being available to do up the zipper. A few months later she came up with the concept for the Zipper Pull after seeing a television show about divers. They all wore wetsuits and did them up effortlessly on their own with one tug of a strap attached to their back zipper.

Currently Ms. Dress Up offers two styles of their zipper pull; the heart and the flower. They both sell for $29.95 and can be purchased from the Ms. Dress Up website! A unique feature of the zipper pull has to be that it doubles as jewellery once you've zipped up your dress.

This unique product is perfect for helping you get ready for events AND taking with you to the store when you're trying to find dresses. Instead of asking a sales associate to zip you up, you have the freedom to do it yourself comfortably!

Let me know you thoughts on the product in the comments below!

Why you should consider taking a course online | Part 2

I'm a huge advocate for online learning! If you haven't seen my first post about online learning check it out here. I have learnt through multiple platforms and I think learning online will be the future of learning. I mean think about how much we do online now. How many hours have you been on your laptop and phone today?

My last post about online learning featured 5 different schools and platforms. I'm happy to say that I have found more! Except for this time they're mainly focused on fashion, lifestyle and creative topics.

1. BoF Education | Fashion's Platform for Online Learning

I accidentally discovered this after reading an article on BoF. If you don't know about BoF (Business of Fashion) you should, especially if you want to work in fashion. They have insightful articles, industry insight from experienced professionals, job postings and now a learning platform.

They currently have two courses running but, they have more coming soon. The two they have currently are, "Fashion History for Today" and "The Art and Science of Buying Merchandise." Both classes are taught by well-known, experienced fashion professionals and the cost of each course is $195USD. Which in my opinion isn't that much compared to a course at a college or university.

Some of the courses coming soon are, "Fashion Styling Basics", "Fashion Journalism", "The Fashion System 101", "A Beginner's Guide to Fashion Communications" and "Rethinking Digital Marketing."

They also have a free article collection in their education section here, called "Fashion Business Basics."

It's safe to say that I want to take all of these courses. However, if I had to choose one it would be a Beginners Guide to Fashion Communication because currently in school I'm learning about retail buying and merchandising so, communications would a fresh perspective to look at.

If any of these seem like a topic you want to learn more about you can register your interest here. Let me know in the comments if you found this interesting or you already knew about the BoF Education Platform.
2. Brit + Co.

I discovered Brit + Co. though Lauren Berger, aka Intern Queen. She tweeted about a course she has on the site. Now she has two, check them here. Lauren's courses focus on finding jobs and interviews.

However, Brit + Co. has a ton of other online classes and DIY Kits that helps enable your creativity. Some are free and others have a cost but, no course is over $50USD. The courses range from Jewellery making, Adobe, Handbag design, sewing, HTML and branding.
